Development of original products featuring a cute worldview with Yanosh characters.
Since publishing his first book in 1960, he has released over 200 works. The original German editions alone have surpassed 20 million copies and have been translated into dozens of languages worldwide. Born on March 11, 1931, in the industrial city of Czaworze (formerly Hindenburg, Germany), which is now in Poland, he spent the 1950s in Paris and Munich, and now lives in the Canary Islands. Janosh, who learned to paint through self-study, is not only a painter but also a novelist, an inventor of stories and characters, a collector of words, and a creator of new words, as well as a cool and mischievous writer. Awards such as the German Youth Book Prize and the Andreas Gryphius Prize for novels show that this painter-poet's creations are not only immensely popular with children and their parents but are also widely loved by young people. His works are underpinned by a perspective that observes and reflects on life with a discerning eye.
